Sun., Oct. 23–On The Road to Ottawa

One of the things that I’ve wanted to do since I moved back to Ontario is go up to the Gatineau area when the colours are at their height.  Last weekend the weather was kind of crummy, so I stayed home and did indoor things.  This weekend the forecast said three lovely, sunny but cold days on my days off.  Wonderful.

Near Westport.  Look at those colours.  Look at that clear blue sky!

We went for a walk around the Sarsparilla Trail in the green belt near Kanata, where chickadees eat out of your hand.  These are the most well fed chickadees in the world I think.  It’s a wonder then can get off the ground.

Alas, the sun was not to last.  The Weather Network lied.  😦
