Yet another perfect day in my hometown. The nights are getting quite chilly but the days are still lovely.
On Sundays I have usually been at the market down behind the City Hall, but there is another market, at the Memorial Center. I went and checked it out today, bought a few veg and a jar of jam.
After the market I had several different things to do.
Princess and Macdonell Streets.
Princess and Taylor-Kidd.
Turkeys in the graveyard. Their habitat thereabouts is quickly being subdivided and paved.
I returned home along John Counter Blvd. The foundation for the new bridge is complete but a sign says that they are waiting for it to settle before continuing work.
I was in Food Basics yesterday, just putting my shopping into a bag, when the fellow behind me told the cashier what an incredible day he had had. First the Chili Fest and then a poetry slam. He couldn’t imagine anything better. It does sound pretty good. I should really pay more attention to what goes on in town. I wish it were all listed in one place.
