The Fair is here! I don’t think it was open yet in this picture.
That agricultural barn that they pulled down has been replaced with this. Maybe the barn had been deemed unsafe?
In Vancouver we would call this “infill housing”. This is at Pine and Division. The original house is there, but they are putting more units on the large lot. This used to be a very dark yard with big, big trees and a couple of old barns with no paint on them. I liked the darkness of it, but I can see that it might have been too gloomy if I had to live there.
Wow! Big tree go boom at St. Paul’s Churchyard at Montreal and Queen. It’s a good thing it fell that way instead of on to Montreal Street.
How’s this for timing huh?
Zooming in to Wolfe Island.
Playing ball in the Lake. Oh boy!
Murney Tower across the park.
These places on Earl St. aren’t the most beautiful houses in Kingston, but I often like the way they look from down the street–yesterday evening in the setting sun.
The students are settling down now. I haven’t seen a muddy or painted one in quite a while. The muddy stains of footprints are still on the sidewalk in front of KGH though. Last night was quite nippy, but the highs are supposed to be around 30 all the coming week. After basking in this long, glorious summer, the next season will definitely the winter of my discontent. May it take its time coming.
