Riding to Harrowsmith

Yesterday I went for a delightful ride through the countryside on the K&P Trail and then the Cataraqui Trail to Harrowsmith, from Orser Road.   The reason I didn’t tell you about it yesterday, is that I cleaned my keyboard and then it didn’t work.  Lol.  Anyway, got a new one, and here I am.

Before the bike ride, here is a photo from early Sunday morning, a time of day that you will seldom see on here.  After the rained out Celtic Kitchen Party that I went to on Saturday night, I thought I had lost my umbrella, so I got up early and headed up to the hill to see if it was still there.  It was not.  It was in the back of my car, entangled in my chair.   Yay.

The weather so far this week has been fabulous.  The nights and mornings are cooler, the humidity is down, but the afternoons are perfect.

Now the bike ride, from Orser Road.

The K&P.   I believe it stands for Kingston and Pembroke, which is the railway that used to use this route.   Some called, and still call it The Kick and Push.

Anyone know what these are?

More tomorrow, as we start to chug uphill.
