Yesterday I took a friend from Vancouver to Gananoque and he liked it very much. I like it very much too.
We had lunch on the patio at the Gananoque Inn.
The village shops at the tour boat dock. These two seem to be shut down at the moment. There is a big condo building going in almost across the street (where the building with the stencil of Don Knotts used to be). Maybe an influx of residents will liven up this corner of town, when times are quiet, which they shouldn’t be right now.
Summer fun at Joel Stone park.
This old industrial building is being renovated into condos and it’s starting to look pretty good. I’m glad they are doing this. I like this building and there are such interesting stone patterns on it.
These Linden trees smell absolutely fabulous! Wow!
St. Andrew’s Church in Gananoque. I believe it is Anglican.
Back in Kingston–the legal building next to Elizabeth Cottage.
Back of the Prince George Hotel.
Dinner at The Lone Star–a hopping place on a summer’s night.
Evening sun at the Yacht Club.
Tonight my friend is arriving back to 15 degrees and pouring rain in Vancouver. Too bad, so sad.
