So here is how it went today: 8am–gloomy, pouring rain, windy. 12pm–clouds scudding east and the sunshine moving in. 3pm–gloomy, pouring, windy. 5pm–windy, bright spots. Now it is 10:30pm and it is howling out there, with light, horizontal rain.
Driving was a dodgy thing to do today, literally. In my neighbourhood it was garbage day and empty cans, lids and recycling bins were littering and rolling around the streets. I noticed a group of about 30 pigeons flap flap flapping with all their might into the wind and then turning en masse and being whipped across the sky at about 120 kph. Either they were having fun, or they couldn’t get back down to the ground.
You could not see through this tree yesterday. It was solid yellow.
Victoria Park in a lugubrious but dry moment.
The rain had started again at Macdonnell and Princess.
This much abused banner has seen better days.
Let’s go back to Friday, when I stopped briefly in Deseronto.
Tomorrow we will finish our trip home, poking around the west side of Kingston. I found sheep!
