Here are some more photos of my trips over the last couple of days. On the way back from Jones Falls, we went along Hwy. 15. At Morton, I wanted to explore a couple of the roads that went up through Morton. One kept going right out through the village, heading east. A sign said “Farmer’s Market, turn left”, so we turned left. We ended up finding this little shop out in the middle of NOWHERE! It’s fairly high end too–artisanal preserves, cheese, handmade ice cream, meat, fudge.
This was across the street from the market.
On the way back out to Morton.
The next day I went to Napanee for a haircut and then went on to Picton. I thought that Picton in the fall would be fabulous, and it was. Everywhere in the fall is fabulous. One thing I noticed in Napanee was that the Canada Geese were very restless. They were definitely on the move.
Looking down the Napanee River towards the falls. There is a very nice walkway along the water, which is wonderful except that it doesn’t go far enough.
This is not a great picture, but all those dots on the pond are geese. Now I knew where they were all going!
Across the road from the pond were these–6 donkeys, one of my favourite animals.
Tomorrow we explore the Napanee river walkway. It really is a most pleasant walk.
