On a couple of mornings recently I have sat for a bit at Macdonald Park before heading to work. It’s such a lovely spot and listening to the lapping of the waves is so wonderfully comforting. Last night, I went for a bike ride with a friend to the same park and found a delightful thing!
Ironically, you can’t drink water out of this, so you might have to resort to your flask if you’re thirsty.
This squirrel on Quebec St., was just lounging at the top of someone’s stairs. It looked very relaxed and comfy.
One of my favourite little houses, with it’s magnificent garden. These dahlias, or zinnias, or whatever they are, are also the size of a bread and butter plate–quite magnificent!
Two shots of my friend’s garden, before we take off on our bikes.
Dance night in the Gazebo! What fun! Some of them were very good indeed. We sat and watched for some time.
They’re baaaaaack! On the way home, it was too dark to take pictures, but the students at the corner of William and Aberdeen Streets were gearing up for a noisy and rambunctious night. Boy, was it loud! I couldn’t have lived with that in the neighbourhood, even when I was 20. Each to his own, I guess. Downtown, it is definitely more lively with the presence of the returning scholars.
