The cruise ship, Saint Laurent, in the lake, just off the Marine Museum. The last time I saw a boat like this in Kingston was 40 odd years ago when the Queen came with the Britannia. However, apparently this boat comes 2 or 3 times a year and does cruises down the St. Lawrence. We don’t have a deep water dock in Kingston, so people have to be ferried across to town.
I’ve heard people quite excited that this restaurant has come to town. I think there is one in Toronto (?). I’ll have to check it out soon.
The Mandarin and this Boys and Girls Club are both at the Frontenac Mall. The Frontenac Mall has gotten pretty sad and empty over the last few years, but there is now a Food Basics, a Service Canada, these two businesses and a huge Value Village so things must be picking up, I would think. It’s just not really a shopping center any more.
A while back I showed a picture of Aunt Lucy’s and said that the gardens were not up to par this year. Well that has changed. Very pretty.
Paradiso Pizza, formerly at the south western corner of Elliot and Division, has now moved to the north eastern corner to snappy new digs. Before this the building was a car detailer shop. They are much more visible now and I hope they do well.
I also showed you this lovely new Family and Children’s Services building on Division St. quite a while ago. But what has happened here? It looks like a leaky Vancouver building!
It is hot as Johnny Depp out these days, but cooler in Kingston by the water. We’d better enjoy it while we can because July is nearly over. Waaaaaahhhhh!!!
