Good Friday

More pictures from yesterday…

Quite a fabulous doorway on King Street.   All the time that I lived in Vancouver, I had the Doors of Kingston poster on my wall.  We’ve got some beauties!

Another big stone house.  This one is on King St.  Looks like it might have lots of apartments in it.  I had never really noticed it from the side before.

The boats are still in bed…but not for long!

Looking through the Annandale apartments to that cute house on William Street.

Magnolia maybe?

The cute turret to the Secret Garden B&B.  This house has all the bells and whistles…bay and gable windows, turrets, big verandah.  It’s a great house.

Four pictures from Kingston Mills.  The flowers are for the four Shafia girls and women who were killed and dumped here, in a supposed “honour” killing.   Let us honour Geeti, Sahar, Zainab and Rona, four people who just wanted to be themselves.  My friend Mark drowned here in 1971 at age 13, the same age as Geeti.  Kingston Mills is an area beauty spot, but it has definitely seen some tragedy.
