Deepest Darkest Winter

Ice -fish

A friend gave me permission to use these photos that they took on Lake Ontario near Amherstview.   The top picture is of a garpike under the ice.  My friend says that the ice was about 8 inches deep, but you wouldn’t know it from these pictures.

I so don’t do winter well.  This is as far as I got yesterday–popping my nose out the back door and taking pictures of the back yard.  It’s snowing again now and tomorrow we are supposed to get quite a bit again.  Meanwhile someone I know in Vancouver tells me that he is disappointed that they didn’t get more winter, that it was 15 degrees there the other day and his daffodils are up about 6 inches.   Don’t you just hate those people from Vancouver?
