Many of the leaves have blown off now and many trees are bare. As I drove out towards Perth Road yesterday I found that those trees and bushes that still had colour popped right out and looked fabulous. The yellows and the red sumacs were almost fluorescent. But as the day went on, it seemed to get duller. But it is still pretty.
Across from the Grace Center on Stagecoach Rd. People decorate their homes with dried corn stalks. They have some for sale at Glenburnie Grocery, but these people don’t have to spend any money–they have lots!
Looking across the valley from the Grace Center. Big hills in this area. The road construction along Rutledge Road is almost done. When I moved here from Vancouver, I thought “Hallelujah, I will no longer be living somewhere where they are always tearing everything up.” Got that wrong!
These people have a beautiful property. I will have to take a photo in the early summer. They have a wide frontage, lined with a split rail fence. The house cannot be seen–it is behind a woods. In the early summer, the fence is draped with flowing bridal veil spirea the whole way along. Stunning!
Looking north along Stagecoach Road.
Wow! This golden palace is on Sydenham Road, overlooking Loughborough Lake. Quite fabulous. I was headed into town. Tomorrow some photos of Earl St.
